ART IN THE GARDEN
 
View art from local artists on display in the Garden Center hallway. Art and nature will join hands as the works of regional artists will be on display and for sale. This is the Fort Worth Botanic Garden's first juried art show, held as a part of Fall Gallery Night, 2008.

FORT WORTH IRIS & DAYLILY SOCIETY SALE
 
Are you interested in growing irises or daylilies? Come to the Fort Worth Iris Society's annual iris and daylily sale in the Garden Center. This is your chance to buy from the people who know best how to grow these beautiful flowers.

FALL PLANT SALE
 
Fall is the second great planting season, so come peruse our perennials and native Texas plants. Browse our selection of decorative grasses, shrubs and bulbs as well.
Butterfly Tagging during the Plant Sale
Oct 13, 10am to 2pm

Participate in the gentle tagging and release of monarch butterflies in the Trial Garden! Watch as education horticulturist and entomologist Gail Manning gathers the butterflies as they feed on nectar (flowers available at the plant sale!). A small tag is applied to the hindwing, and the butterfly is released to flutter away, continuing its journey south to Mexico. Be part of a phenomenon of nature- the marvelous migration of the monarch.

FALL FESTIVAL IN THE JAPANESE GARDEN
 
Feast your eyes on the spectacular fall color of the Japanese Garden while you and your family enjoy traditional Japanese dance, music, martial arts demonstrations, papermaking, Bonsai, Ikebana, and tea ceremonies. B. G. SQUIRREL RUN
 
Breeze through the Garden on the 5K or 10K course, or sprint with the kids on the 1K. Clowns, face painting, historical Texas Rangers and lots of other activities for the whole family. Fee: $18/person, $15 before November 4, $20/person on the day of the race. Check out their website: www.bgsquirrel.com

BIRDS' CHRISTMAS TREE
 
Children of all ages are invited to make bio-degradable bird treats ahead of time and bring them to the event to hang in the Garden's Grove, providing food for wildlife and a little holiday cheer! This free event, complete with music and entertainment, is one of Fort Worth's oldest holiday traditions.
