Join local butterfly wrangler Dale Clark and garden educator Gail Manning in the beautiful tropical conservatory of the Fort Worth Botanic Garden. Dale Clark is the editor of the international Newsletter for the Lepidopterists' Society, president and founder of the Dallas Lepidopterists' Society, and owner/operator of Butterflies, Unlimited in Dallas. Dale imports and displays the butterflies of the Butterflies in the Garden and other exhibits nationwide.

He was listed in the Photographic Society of America’s Who’s Who as No. 1 in the world in Digital Nature. Last year, his image “Looking For Salmon” was published in Nature’s Best magazine as one of the Most Honored and is presently being displayed in the Smithsonian’s Museum of Nature History in Washington D.C.

Drink in the beauty of the Japanese Gardens while enjoying the soothing gift of yoga. Learn to decrease stress while increasing mobility; calm the mind while energizing the body. Quit Smoking in the Japanese Garden  * ENROLL NOW *
One of the best places to quit smoking is the Japanese Garden. The best time to quit, when you think about it, is now. This smoker-friendly class is designed for those who don't want to quit but know they should. Using unique methods that are part of learning the ancient art of T'ai Chi, the smoker will learn to finally overcome his or her dependence on tobacco. Motivational strategies, relaxation exercises, and group discussion will be part of the process of pre-quitting, quitting, and post-quitting. Techniques such as Punching Up the Yuck Factor, Lite Discipline, and Investing in Loss are intended to move the student into the nonsmoking section of life permanently.

Learn the secrets of the Bonsai masters. These three sessions cover the history and art of bonsai, Japanese-style miniature trees. Attracting Butterflies and Hummingbirds to Your Garden

Hummingbirds enter the Fort Worth area around the 4th of July looking for habitat where they can spend the rest of the summer. Learn which plants to include in your landscape in order to attract these jewels of the aviary world. Also discover the 50 common butterflies of Tarrant County and learn how to entice them into your yard through nectar-rich plant materials, water, and feeding stations. Part of class time will be spent walking through the Garden, so dress comfortably and wear good walking shoes.

Making a Birdbath for Mother's Day  * ENROLL NOW *
Dads, bring your kid(s) and make a cement birdbath to give Mom on Mother's Day. You and your child need to bring a trowel and your own items for decoration (brokes pieces of crockery, china, tiles, decorative glass, seashells, etc.). This class meets outside and participants should dress accordingly. This project is guaranteed to cement relationships with those you love!
